Outside a coffee shop, early evening

Lion-O had just finished a large cup of milk and was on his way back home when he had run into the small human woman. Knowing too well of his size and build his reflexes kicked in and he caught her quickly, pulling her back up to her feet.

"I'm so sorry, Miss! I must have not seen you!" He chuckled. Boy, he felt silly.

[herturn]

She was startled, making a sound in the midst of a gasp when he threw off her balance, hands reaching to hold onto something quickly -- in this case, his arm. Nina released a quick exhale once it was over.

"It's alright." She finally said, without a sheepish smile or tone, simply composing herself after letting go and glancing at the passersby still paying attention to the scene.

Once she was on her own two feet, Lion-O let her go, giving her a small smile. "Even still, I apologize. I'm usually much more observant than that." He didn't like the idea of strangers, and the Thunderian made it a point to introduce himself to anyone he happened to engage in conversation with. It was just good manners.

"I'm Lion-O."

Nina looked away more often than not, allowing a small and awkward smile to shape her lips for a split second whilst avoiding contact. She was neither comfortable about talking to the stranger nor leaving him behind without explanation, so she simply went for the polite option.

"Nina."

AS IF TYLER WASN'T GOING TO END UP HERE SOMEHOW also whenever you want since it's tyler.

[ tyler happens upon her by accident. he smells of smoke, the scent of burning clinging to his clothes and skin, like a mark of what he's been doing in his free time. he's been unsupervised and unfettered and he's hitting his stride, a dangerous, dangerous thing. a cigarette dangles from his lips, and he takes it out as he approaches her, a smile curving across his face. ]

[Her eyes are on the ground, unfocused, deep in her thoughts. She only notices Tyler's presence a split second before it's too late, and it causes an instant reaction in her chest, filled with dread and distrust.

Nina stops for a moment, frowning and balancing herself to resume walking right away, heart racing. She hopes he'll just let her get past him and pretend they never saw each other.]

[chipsfalling]

[ nope. he steps in front of her again, because she was interesting before, he sees her, or at least, he sees part of her that he'd like to keep pushing at. ]

You don't even say hello? Rude.

[She closes her eyes to take a deep breath when she stops, short of bumping completely into him, thankful that it didn't happen. Her eyes slowly make their way up to his face with something very close to a wary glare.]

[ Shopping, that's something Carrie doesn't do much. And it's definitely not something she can do it costume. So she's just Carrie today, and Carrie in need of more clothing for her civilian life. Most of her attention's given to Robin, to the point where she sometimes forgets that not all shirts come with a lace-up front and an R on the left breast. And then by the time she finally remembers, it occurs to her that most of her pants don't quite fit right around her hips anymore, and maybe she ought to actually spend money on the sorts of things normal people buy for once.

She's got her head down as she flips through her wallet and struggles to keep her various bags in hand, frowning a little because she'd swear she'd had one more twenty in here than she's currently counting, and-- oh. Right. Watching where you're going on a busy pseudo-NYC street is generally a good idea. Her head comes up sharply when she bounces off of someone, a quick sorry already prepared to be tossed out and left behind, but

[She turns her head quickly, ready to utter her own apology and get on with her day, but something immediately strikes her about the girl now standing before her. Nina spends a moment of silence recognizing Carrie and scanning her new outfit.]

... Yes. [she seems to slide out of her daze, brushing a couple of stray hairs behind her ear with a little smile.] How are you?

[ Recognition! Cool. It'd be pretty awkward otherwise. ]

Just aces. Trying to remember how to do shopping, mostly. [ and with a slightly closer inspection of Nina: ] You?

[herturn]

[She shakes her head softly.] I was just... taking a walk. [Her smile broadens pleasantly. It's clear she's warmed up to Carrie since their first encounter.] It's such a nice day.

LATE BUT UM. hi. tuesday evening, 10pmish?

[ Somehow, someway, these two always seem to find each other. Andy's not even rollerskating this time, just walking home from an early shift of work. He's tired, but not so tired that he'd be impolite when he sees one of his favorite people. ]

Nina? Is that you? Hey! [ He waves a little awkwardly, ready to turn and pretend he didn't say anything in case it isn't her. It's hard to tell from several feet away, at a glance. ]

[She lifts her head when she hears her name in a familiar voice and grows a smile when she confirms who it is, slowing down as she draws nearer to him. There's a genuine tone to her smile, rather than just the usual politeness she carries, even if she still presents some restraint.]

Andy. Hello.

What's going on? [ He smiles as he walks over. ] On your way to anywhere important?

No... not really. It seemed like a beautiful day, so...
