No matter what the outcome of our actions against the HIVE may bring, I can now assure the city with the utmost certainty that my team did the right thing. The HIVE was in posession of full schemantics of the Teleporter, with the intention of building a new one. The threat that they posessed, and the probability that they could possibly use this information to port in even more superhumans is the threat that my team quickly and effectively neutralized.
I hope that this will not be something that will lead to further entanglements, but if it is, the HIVE can be sure that they will be met with resistance, and that we will protect the people of the country from their efforts, and we will each do our best to make sure that the people here are safe.
I would also like to thank those in the City who were here to help aid against the situation that arose yesterday. While I wish that there had been some way to be in two places at once, everyone who was left here did an exemplary job of holding things together as best they could. The people of the city are lucky to have such a stalwart contingency of people who are willing to protect them, as well as investigate the causes of this attack. I will be helping with the clean-up efforts.
