I’m totally in agreement re the Susan Hill ( best thing about it is the cover).

I've read Tom's Midnight Garden twice, both times as an adult, and I love it. I often find myself thinking about it, as I do Minnow on the Say.I've just begun the Susan Hill and am reading it month by month. And yes, the first chapter, January, was less about books than I expected but I did like the other subjects. We'll see as the year goes on what I think. HEIOTL is one of my favorite books of all time.

You have great self control, reading a chapter a month :-) My copy came from the library, so had to go back.

The titles of so many of the books you read are lovely sounding and the covers very attractive :)

As a Liberal Democrat I'd like to read Nick Clegg's book. I'm afraid I don't agree with much of their stance on Brexit, though :)

love Life with Lisa by Sybill Burr, very funny book.
