Making some progress

The dining room has been out of use for over a week and will remain so for a while. The sitting room is half full of boxes. Sigh. It's not that it's such a big job, just that it takes a man here, a man there; never one concentrated burst of activity. This morning I went to inspect the painting of the dresser I wrote about here. Thank you. Yup, Farrow & Ball. I don't mind the expense for such a small area. Besides, they're a local company!

Whoops - don't know what happened to my typing there. We used their paint a lot in our last house in England (when we were richer) and I was always really pleased with the results. Whereas when we tried to economise in the hallway we ended up painting it 3 times to get a colour we were happy with.
