My computer died on September 10th. My salvaged backup computer died on September 12th. I've been mostly offline since then except via my phone, but I have finally gotten a used computer that is (*knocks wood intently*) stable, so I'm back! Ish. I'm still desperately looking for work and dealing with a lot of RL stuff so it will still be pretty ( Read more... )

Most of it seems to have survived, but I lost my contacts and my calendar info, which is a true pain because that was the primary record of important dates for personal stuff and for periodic payments coming out of my account and when to file government documentation etc. and I'm having to rebuild it from my vague memory and hope I don't get surprised by anything. I keep going to look up when certain things happened in the family and it's just not there, and my family are not communicators, shall we say.

The other big annoyance is my graphics suite that I do photo cropping and icons and make graphic things in won't work now because this system is too new, so I'm going to try a software emulation workaround and hope.

*waves* Hi and welcome back! I know how that whole RL and mindset interfering with fandom thing goes, so whenever things are better settled for you, I look forward to your being able to jump back into SPN fandom. Can you believe 11 years for our little show that could? Wow.

I remember the insane terror of that very first post-season hiatus when no one knew if the show would survive the merge to form the CW. Eleven years!

I KNOW. there were a few match-ups I got that were like "HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO CHOOSE??"
