On the Supernatural Wall

"If in the first act you have hung a pistol on the wall, then in the following one it should be fired. Otherwise don't put it there."
-Anton Chekhov

Before the episode tonight (about which I know nothing! \o/) I wanted to post a list of stuff I consider to be 'on the wall' for Supernatural. I was hoping to make it a picspam, but I've run out of time, so here's a point-form version. May be edited later.

SO!

Characters/Groups/Entities on the Wall

-Trickster/Gabriel (Obviously he'll be back in some capacity. If the ep airing on April fools day doesn't in some way involve the Trickster, I'll be mildly disappointed.)

-Jesse the antichrist, currently surfing in Australia (He can make the angels go away? You don't leave a gun that big laying around. Big L has to be looking for him.)

-Chuck's Fandom. (No, really. Distributed network of people all over the US and world? Could be very handy if they're trying to find someone or something.)

-CHUCK!!! (Seriously. Where the hell is Chuck? He gets visions of the future and no one's heard anything from him since 'Real Ghostbusters'? He's either up to something publishing-wise, or Zachariah's sitting on him.)

-The FBI/Police (Yes the Winchesters were declared dead in Jus in Bello. Yes Dean was actually dead for months. But they've been up and about since then, and someone's bound to notice. There's also the matter of Detective Ballard (Usual Suspects) and Officer Hudak (Benders) who know about the Winchesters.)

-Tamara ('The Magnificent Seven'? The hunter whose husband was killed? If she's still hunting, and I would be surprised if she isn't, where is she and whose side is she on. I doubt it's the Winchesters' side. Which leads to...)

-The 'Hunt Sam' club. (Between Dean calling hunters after coming back from the dead, Lucifer running loose, and hunters noticing signs of the End Times everywhere, I'm really surprised that the 'Friends of Steve Wandell' and guys like the ones in 'Free to Be You and Me' who were trying to force a demon blood cocktail into Sam haven't shown up again yet. Especially since the boys are so closely tied to Bobby, and anyone that's in the hunter community and knows that could just camp out somewhere along the road to Bobby's to find them. I suspect if Tamara is still hunting, she'd be with this group.)

-The Film Company from "Hollywood Babylon" (...just add Chuck's novels and fanbase and stir...)

-The dreamwalker guy from 'Dream a Little Dream' (Yes, he's dead. But he died in a dream. What if he's out haunting dreams?)

-Ghostfacers (They're quiet... too quiet....)

-Zombies. (It's been 5 years of a horror show and we've had, what? One zombie and a handful of extras from Thriller for Sam Hane's Evol Guyz Kegger? We're overdue for more zombie action.)

-Vampires. (What's her name and her cow-suckers are out there somewhere still. Sam and Dean need allies, and Sam could use a 12-step program for fighting blood addiction, so they'd be handy to recur. Also, what happened to Luther's mate from 'Dead Man's Blood'? She's still out there with her new daughter, seething about Winchesters for the last 4 years. Unless Gordon got her, which is possible.)

-ETA: Meant to add, but missed, Crowley. He'll definitely be back, maybe even courtesy of a desperation play at a Crossroads (because Crossroads deals are still out there on the 'possible methods of sacrificing oneself for the good of the party'), but possibly running and whining about the Winchsters not killing Lucifer with the Colt. Unless he knew the Colt wouldn't work and it was all a ploy in which case he'll show up, make a show of whining or gloating and stab someone in the back. But he will return.

-ETA from blackcat333_99: Raphael, Chuck's archangel. Who I totally forgot about, oops. Bound to be annoyed about the 'getting left in a circle of Holy Oil' thing in 'Free to Be'. Has expressed exhaustion, defeat, sadness and wanting it to all be over, plus a lack of fairh that God's still around, which meshes with Trickster/Gabriel's expressed opinions. (Also, he killed one of Dean's friends (temporarily) and is still alive, which I believe is rather rare.)

Things/Objects on the Wall

-War's ring, possibly Famine's ring (Especially given the effect on Jimmy, which is in the next section, and given that so far they've implied that a Horseman's influence over people is strongly tied to their ring, these things should go off sometime before the end of the season)

-Wish coin (Sam melted it down. Off camera. Suuuure. Fourth season Sam, who'd been drinking blood for a while and was all lethal and pragmatic? I really think he still has that coin in case of emergencies. Or he gave it to Ruby or she stole it. There was just something weird about that 'okay, coin's melted' bit.)

-Dreamroot (Just add Chuck.)

-Tulpa Symbol (Just add Chuck's fanbase, and a faked-up prophecy/novella wherein everything turns out okay, distributed online by Becky....)

-Pendant (Castiel's got it, what's he doing with it? More importantly, where did it really come from? Sam said Bobby gave it to him to give to John, but Bobby didn't know what Castiel was talking about when he asked about the pendant. More than likely Bobby simply didn't know about the whole 'God EMF' factor, but I think there's a real chance that no matter what Wee!Sam thought, Bobby wasn't the one who gave him the pendant...)

-Reaper binding ritual book (Remember 'Faith', waaay back in first season? There was a little book with a spell that could bind a Reaper with assorted nastiness. Where did that go, and wouldn't it be a hoot if they tried using it to bind Death?)

-Colt (Not the 'kills everything except Lucifer and four other things (maybe Horsemen, deities, earworms and anything that would inconvenience the plot)' factor, but the key to a gate to Hell factor. No one's trying to steal it and go call up reinforcements?)

-Curse boxes and storage locker (John's storage locker was a little ransacked-looking in 'Lucifer Rising' What are the chances that some of the curse boxes have gotten out in the open, or into Lucifer or Zachariah's hands?)

Procedures/Spells/Abilities/Creatures on the Wall

-Angel-abilities (All from 5.14: Angels can sense souls. Angels, even ones not in the loop, can read lower angel's minds. A vessel can override angel's will when under the influence of a Horseman. All of that has many potential future uses, and I'd be surprised if it didn't get used again as the season thunders down towards the Finale. And for pete's sake, can Castiel scan Dean's soul and find out what's missing??)

-Sam can resist Horseman's power. (Arguably, so can Dean (being 'dead inside' has its advantages). This is not a general vessel thing, since Jimmy was affected as hell. Neither Winchester was affected by the Croatoan virus when it was beta-tested, and that's more than likely a Horseman (Pestilence) thing too. This is bound to come up again.)

Other stuff lurking around that I think will pop up again in some way:

-Cherubim and matchmaking. (A choice was made and an action was taken to promote that choice to higher probability. That's not fate, that's strategy. But whose?)

-Croatoan virus (Of course that's coming back, hopefully whenever Pestilence crawls out from under the rock he/she's under and says howdy.)

-"You can see demons because you're nearly hell's bitch" (End of season 3. The description and reactions to that little undocumented feature of having Hellhounds after you got a bit much explanation to be only used once)

-Alastair borrowed Death's sickle, long before Death got summoned. And used it to kill Reapers, Death's underlings. There has got to be repercussions from that. No pun intended there.

-Grace. Unless they've decided to sweep the concept of Angelic Grace being removable, exchangeable, usable in causing spontaneous life, wearable at raves, etc under a rug, something has to happen to someone's Grace. I have wild speculations but I've mentioned them before.

-Sam detox throes. He never really got over them last time. Not without buying off the disadvantage a possibly literal Deus Ex Machina. He was flying around the room last time; how far will they go?

-Dean is 'Dead inside'. See above re: angel soul cat-scans. Heh, or Cas-scans. Anyway, if whatever's missing is what's making him invulnerable to Horsemen, maybe it's not something that should be immediately fixed from a tactical viewpoint. Of course 'OMG fix Dean now!!' but they need any advantage they can get now.

-Bodyswapping. Likelihood of Sam or Dean trying it for some reason, not very. Though Sam might. Likelihood of someone else being duped into trying it on Sam now that some demons think it'll make it easier for Big L to move in, whether it actually will or not... possible?

-ETA: Almost forgot a huge one. In "Song Remains the Same" when Sam did an Angel-Banishing Sigil, his blood literally on the wall glowed, with a fiery red burning glow and everything. There's more to that too, I think.

Anyway, that's all from a quick rundown, and I've likely missed loads.
