Wow. That was really well done. As soon as I read the prompt and saw it was your story, I guessed it was going to work. I really liked this.

The moment when John knew it was Dean and then his questions...such desperation on both their parts because they both lived through that horrible experience. It broke my heart thinking of John with that knowledge, how hard he would try to put the pieces together.

Not that he didn't try hard to put the pieces together in canon for his own hunt on the YED, but making his notes of everything understandable so Dean could use them later would be a challenge. :-)
