so today my supervisor is out sick, which means that as of now, i've got nothing to do.  most people wouldn't have a problem with this, i suppose, but i could never really spend that much time surfing the net, never mind all day.  thankfully one of my other co-workers just came in, so i shall be able to keep myself busy until she can help me out.

I'm basically in denial about the fact that one of my best friends from high school is getting married in August. it feels weird. I may be 25, but it's not something that sits in my front of my mind they way my height, eye color, hair length, and book-geekiness do. *jiggles* well I'll hopefully be going to the wedding, so maybe that'll make it feel more real. ^_^

as far as i know, nobody i know (well) from high school has gotten married yet, or is engaged. then again, i don't really keep in touch with anybody from high school. & that's a bit of a personal decision.

otherwise, yay for weddings. i think they're nice for the most part, but usually only if you're a guest. otherwise, big pain the behind, especially if you have to help plan & such. reminds me of my stage managing final. horror of horrors.

I am dreadful at keeping in touch with people. it ain't good, but it's true. with my highschool friends, I've kept in touch with three of them, and there's only one other whom I was quite close with but we lost touch sometime during college. (I heard she's been married for some time, which definitely gives me a feeling of disjointedness.) I stay in touch best with the people I know who have a journal/blog online, and this sounds strange but it's because it's the least threatening way for me to reach out to them. (it all comes down to social anxiety *makes face*) with phone, email letter-writing, it's a lot harder for me. blrg. one more stone to work on dislodging.

in your experience, what kind of attire is expected at weddings? there's such a big range in formality for dresses!
