I read somewhere that Russell Crowe is playing both the Sheriff and Robin Hood? I have given up trying to figure out what's going on with that project, though I'll be happy enough to watch if it ever gets finished.

One of Lois McMaster Bujold's characters has a saying about honor-- "Reputation is what other people know about you. Honor is what you know about yourself." I think you'd like her Vorkosigan books a lot-- they're the only space science fiction books I've ever loved (so far). Very character-driven. Loads of antics. Starring an undersized hyperactive military genius!
