summer & movies

I have been rather remiss about my lj lately, so i figured i'd get back on track as i'm trying to have at least one post per month. i have been rather remiss about a lot of things lately, so i must start up on those things again.

as a recap, last weekend, finally felt like it was officially summer, unfortunately, even though summer doesn't start

I want to see that movie. Of course, I've wanted to see a lot of movies over the past year and haven't seen any of them. Inconvenient and expensive. Ah, well.

Brideshead Revisited comes out August 1. While I'm a little wary, being totally in love with the miniseries, I can say that it will most likely have no kung fu whatsoever... ;)

I haven't seen the miniseries yet - must get that out from the library. ^_^

man was it hot last week. upper 90s with high humidity, making it feel over 100. gross. & the worst thing about it was that we don't have air conditioning in our house.

my house has one air conditioner, in the family room, which isn't central to the house. and it's really old and loud so I don't normally turn it on, although my mom and brother will. it never stays on for long periods. we have a whole house fan in the attic, but when the air outside is warmer than the house, you can't turn it on until it's evening and cooled down. last weekend was Not Fun. *commiserating*
