How on earth did you DO that?

Just two episodes and you have gotten right to the heart of DC Gray characterization!

The way you have him give his friendliest smile. Which must be out-of-this-world friendly! I was looking at his face and realizing the genius casting department has found another Kevin Whately-like actor whose kindness can make you just want to look at his face forever.

The way you have him be so careful about reviewing all the evidence before concluding what his intuition told him immediately about Hathaway's feelings. The way he knows that Hathaway is prickly and complicated, and treats that with respect, knowing it to be so very different from his own deliberate warmth ( ... )

Oh...wow. I'm floored by your incredibly kind comment. I'm so glad the characterisation of Gray worked for you! In fact, I think you're imputing a lot more forethought into some of the lines than I had intended (which totally works for me)! ;D

And you're so right about "everybody adoring Lewis". Who couldn't? Well, except Innocent when she's hunting for her migraine pills, and even then she said at the end she'd enjoyed working with Lewis, didn't she? :D
