my office PC at UW couldn't run EQ2, either

Aug 20, 2006 19:27

At my project assistantship at UW, I worked in an office that was not on the same FLOOR as a women's bathroom.

At PARC, there is one right down the hall from my office.

It's the little things.

...Well, the little things and the nuclear coffee maker.

So you've been drinking nuclear coffee for a week? This could get entertaining real fast.

Dude, that coffee machine accounts for at least 50% of my thought processes on my morning walk to work. I hear that's a sign of addiction. :p

It is the little things. Right now, I'm temping, which is not what I want to be doing, but the simple fact that I can have a cup of coffee* on my desk as I work is going a long way to make up for it. You can't do that working in an archive, in case you drip on the documents.

Also, I'm working in one of my favourite parts of town.

*Not nuclear coffee, but it's a lot better than no coffee.

Ah, yes. One thing that sucks about working with a lot of audio or video/audio data is that I rarely get to listen to music at work.

Is that GREY here I see in this particular pic? Can't believe you'd dye your hair grey of all things. That's just unimaginative. :)

BTW, did you get my email reply? Sent it off awhile, back...

Oh, that was blue. Blues and purples tend to fade to a grey-ish shade pretty fast, unfortunately, although I once had a purple that went an interesting mix of lavendar and metallics--silver and gold-looking.

And yes! I'm sorry I haven't replied; I still don't have reliable internet at home and have been working hard at the new job. My SBC DSL should be connected tomorrow, though.
