They let you have knitting needles depending on material?? I so did not know that.

Well, according to Steph, you can take needles on the plane so long as they're wooden or bamboo. Might ring up Qantas to check that one. ;P I'm going to be stranded at several different airports during my sojourn (including five hours at Auckland airport. Urgh), so knitting would be an extremely welcome distraction. Otherwise, I'll be drinking coffee and writing bad poetry the whole time. Which I will post on my return.
