It was fantastic, thankee verra much. ;)

Pea ess- you know you fully can't measure U2 by their popular tunes that every one knows, eh? :P And you certainly can't judge them by their recent music. I didn't really become a hard-core fan until this year, when I started listening to their albums in full...and BANG I was hooked. I'd recommend giving some of those 80S albums a go...cos they really are quite dreamy. ;)

Ok, Ezza, stop trying to convert everyone...

Great review, and I'm so glad your first U2 experience was a great one!

And Bono totally hams it up towards the end, when makes his way down the ramp, half crawling, half limping (heee…), and then lights up a firework when he gets to the end.

When he lit the firework in Adelaide, he was a TOTAL GIRL. Jumped back about three feet when it took. We all laughed :-) AND YES OMG HE IS A *TINY* LITTLE MAN :-)

I can't begrudge you One Tree Hill, but *snf*. One Tree Hill.

Hehe, cute! Did he do that for the Sydney shows too? I thought it was such an awesome touch, man...suited the song perfectly, and it looked so awesome with him singing that snippet of TATHTBA, with all the smoke swirling around him...*shiver*

What did you think was the best show you went to? Have you done your Sydney write-up in full yet?

AND YES OMG HE IS A *TINY* LITTLE MAN :-)

Heee! He's got such short, stumpy little legs...it's hilarious! *g*

I can't begrudge you One Tree Hill, but *snf*. One Tree Hill.

Yeah. One Tree Hill. *smug*

Best band in the world, mate...

Serious, I ADORE those boys. One thing you must know about me is that I'm utterly obsessed with all things Irish...and I discovered U2 (as I said in my post) when I was 15, and I was at the very height of my Hibernophile phase. But yeah, as someone of Irish ancestory, their music has particular resonance for me. And, even though I discovered them before I was a Christian, their songs have really spoken to me from a spiritual point of view, especially over the past year.

So yeah, I think they're fantastic. Although, their 80s music, for me, will always be the best. ;) It was such a blessing to get to see them live. Bring on the next tour!

Glad you enjoyed it, m'dear! Sorry bout the wait. Owing to my cramped living arrangements at the moment, I don't quite have the luxury of staying up 'till all hours, blogging away...:P

And I work. And procrastinate. A lot. :P So yeah...

I think you were NOT enthusiastic enough. Come on. It was U2.....

Heh. Well, I could have been a lot more fangirlish than I was. But, that would have disturbed some folks, methinks.

Which one? The One Tree Hill pic? That was taken from the gig the day before, on the Friday. Same lighting, though.
