I'm terribly sorry I haven't posted before now. It's just that - well, a very dear friend of mine took his own life right around this time of year, and I find myself reflecting on it when spring is in the air.

OOC Note: No, this is only IN CHARACTER. I'll explain in the story to follow. All of my friends are reasonably fine.)

Anniversaries aren't all they're chalked up to be. Do you celebrate the one where you met him or the one where you lost him? Which ends up being a better memorial?

I don't celebrate it, precisely. I just find myself thinking of him around this time.

Celebrate's a bad word in your specific case, I know. Like for my husband's death 'mark' might be a better word. I find myself wondering if by thinking about him on the anniversary of his death if maybe I'm short changing him somehow.
