Is it still January? Not any more...

Feb 05, 2023 00:25

I swear the world is running away with me already. I seem to remember thinking January last year had flown by - and suddenly it's nearly the end of January the next year... And actually by the time I'm finishing this post it's the 1st February, so... *headdesk* (and also, pinch-and-a-punch-for-the-first-of-the-month... gosh, aren't kids violent ( Read more... )

Beautiful pictures. They make me miss the small town I lived in from 2018 to 2022, where I got to see more wildlife. (Even if most of the time I was there I just wanted to come back home.)

I've had a bumpy January, between a cold that dragged on and on, a terrible toothache, and scary government forms intended to help them decide whether to take me income away. I'm hoping February will be better.

It's nice having the wildlife around - and I like that you can find moments of quiet too, although increasingly less so since they opened a big recycling facility (a good thing) but gave it permission to operate all through the night too (so much for peaceful stargazing - and it emits huge light pollution...)

Ack for your bumpy January... and definitely ack for scary government forms... Crossing fingers for February for you!

Well obviously I showed the best bits... *vbg*

The garden is looking dire, and I need to do something about it... I need to create a better layout, but I'm not good at that sort of visual thing, and it's such a difficult shape - triangular!

I love your plant support. I have them around my hydrangeas, but the metal type.

I watched Obi-Wan Kenobi and enjoyed it. Right now I'm watching The Last of Us, which is truly excellent.

My January was...okay. Still mourning the loss of my two lads, and it was cold, but mostly without snow. But right now the sun is shining, and things are supposed to warm up.

I have a couple of metal ones too, though smaller, but I've always liked the willow ones. They're so expensive to buy though!

I've just seen ads for The Last of Us, I'll have to check it out if I can.

Your lads? Oh no, I didn't realise... Sorry to hear that.

Oh, I want willow plant supports! How cool. Thanks for all the beautiful photos! Wee birds are my fav. I have a water heater in mind since we have proper below freezing a lot. This way I don't have to go out every morning and replace the frozen block.

Overall, thing have been good here. The month zipped by, as usual in my old age. Still doing Zumba four times a week. Going to a Doctor Who con in two weeks. :)

I'm so happy with my plant support - although I notice that there's a bud burst out on one of the uprights!! I've wanted a willow plant support for ages, but they're so expensive...

It's so fun watching the birds - I'm going to miss that when I start my office job. I like watching the bigger birds too though - the crows are so interesting, a real community. And I watched the pheasant yesterday knocking away at my "bulrush" style birdfeeder so that the seed would fall out onto the ground. I had no idea they learned like that!

And yeay a Doctor Who con - have a great time!
