Buffyverse1000 ficlets

Because I amused myself a lot this weekend, and because half of you were at WriterCon, and thus should now play with me:

Buffyverse 1000 - "Because our fandom is the smuttiest of them all." They're aiming for 1000 ficlets and/or drabbles of different Jossverse pairings-- canon, AU, subtext to smut -- and right now they're at about 170 or so.

My god, that Giles/Kate thing... I don't know Kate very well or at all, haven't seen much AtS, but this was beautiful. It's sadly rare to see Giles in a normal relationship with an adult (simply because there aren't that many characters availiable, and original characters just don't do well in fanfic...). I'd love to see more of this.

Aww, gracias. Isn't it rare? And isn't that just so unfair to him? I can count on my fingers the times he got to interact with someone over 21 on the show.

The icon is out of date now, but last year I had a lot of fun playing with Kate on the Socks RPG. She had one of the few arcs on AtS that was concluded well. But yes, I think these two would do well together. I blame Perri for this idea too -- she has very bare hints of the pairing in a story that's stalled, and it got me thinking about it.

I have five million things in the writing queue ahead of this, but you never know. I may need distraction at some point.

Gracias! I am wildly fighting off Dru at this point. And Xander. I have too many other things in line ahead of these guys to write any more. But I'm glad you like it, Dru's head is a scary place to be.

Then read the comments... give in to the Dru side! The results are so entertaining. For us, anyways...

Heh. Thank you! It wasn't working from Xander's POV, and as soon as I switched, the ficlet clicked. I don't wanna know what that says about the inside of my head.
Then read the comments... give in to the Dru side! The results are so entertaining. For us, anyways...
I find myself horribly tempted. But fortunately without plot. Hopefully it'll stay that way, but ya never know, Xander may find his voice. (And *then* I'll be so screwed...)

Oh, thank you! I love those two characters, and they deserve better than they often get on both shows. This whole scene makes me happy.

Awww! thank you! Late replying, it's been a hectic week, but I've friended you back. Not much ends up private on my journal, but sometimes fic snippets are included. :>

Especially the Tara/Weiss one. Two intrinsically nice people who deserve a nice, happy, peaceful relationship without witchcraft run amok or unrequited longings for one's best friend (of either gender). And of course Weiss is a good kisser. *grins*

Well, *duh*. Yeah, like I said above, in my head, Tara survives s6 because of this. Tara may be canon-lesbian, but it's not like it's a big stretch to fanfic-bisexual. :>>

Out of idle curiosity, are you the author of "When Stavros Met Sofia"? Because if you are, you converted me to Sweiss and I adore you.
