Glee wanders back and forth on developing other characters but I think on balance it does succeed to a certain extent. Still investigating going to see Legally Blonde.

I'm now watching Glee with my mother. She loves it.

I rather like John of Gaunt, from my limited knowledge of him - Anya Seton's Katherine. He sounded rather interesting (and I fell for him, of course...).

Katherine Swynford - John of Gaunt's third Duchess and his mistress of many years. Her children by Gaunt were the Beaufort's, Cardinal Beaufort being one of them. Her Great-grandaughter was Margaret Beaufort mother of Henry VII. Through her daughter Joan Countess of Westmoreland she was Great-grandmother to both Edward IV and Richard III. Both she and Joan are buried in Lincoln Cathedral beside each other.
