I am looking for recommendations please. I studied German in high school and college, an dI would really like to refresh those skills. I've lost most of the vocabulary, although I feel like I retain a good portion of the grammar

The CDs I have go along with the Eurolingua Deutsch textbook series and are for Mittelstufe (Intermediate) 1 and 2 as per the Goethe Institute. They're not really lessons, but are good for listening to German spoken by a wide variety of people with different accents. (Let me know if you'd like a set.)
There are a couple of other good resources for listening to German - http://www.tagesschau.de/ is the most authoritative TV newscast and Deutsche Welle http://www.dw-world.de/ has a really badly designed site that can often be convinced to cough up programming in simpler German.
I really wish that the Goethe Institute had a location closer than Vancouver, BC.
