new members + theme months

Hey! As I'm sure you've all noticed, the community has resurrected itself this week, which is amazing. :) We now have several new stamped members:

I think that would be awesome and fun! I could see a sitting charge stamp, Little Sister, California Diaries, kids at SMS, parents, Pikes. . .

Just to brainstorm, another idea (or an idea for a theme month) might be applying as fictional characters from different fandoms. Someone could fill out the application for their favorite characters from other books/shows/movies, as close to in character as possible, and we could stamp them in the BSC. Whether to name the character being applied before or after the stamp is something we could decide later.

(I totally intended to say this before I put it together with my stamp. Good choice guys!) I could help design stamps on occasion, if you needed help and could give me bases.

As a Pike fan, I really like the idea of using "What Pike are you?" for a theme. As far as bases and etc. go, it might be harder to find them for kids at SMS + parents. I'm sure we can work *something* out, though, because they sound like great ideas too.

That sounds cool! After we work through some of the themes (if enough people are interested in themes, that is), we can pitch your idea and see if anyone is interested in doing that. :)

Help would be WONDERFUL. I am a Computer Science student, so I am fine with all the coding and etc (I am thinking about re-coding the master stamped list and changing the journal theme), but artistically? Not so much. Not sure what to do about the bases yet, but I will let you know!

A lot of the sitting charges are on at least one or two books covers, if we can find those. And if there's something we decide we want to do where there aren't pictures, or we can't find them, we could use some more abstract references. (Like the new book covers do, except ones that make sense. Like, a whoopee cushion for Alan Gray, or a fancy hand mirror for Cokie Mason.)

I should add that I'm in no way a computer graphics wiz, I just mess around on photoshop. If there are other people out there like that, I think it'd be a great idea to take turns with the themes

I'll have to post a list, but lucida has a list of books I *don't* have.
