End of the week

Goodness, I'm tired again. How does this keep happening? It's the ridiculous adrenaline of everything changing, again, I fear. We're moving into a higher category of lockdown here which means I'm going to be going to a gallery next week at the same time as a friend but we can't talk during the exhibition... only outside before and after. Uhuh ( Read more... )

Did you get info about the gallery visit regarding chatting to your friend. I wonder how they would know you aren’t related from the same household?

The fly in the wall thing would be a a can of worms I don’t want to open either.

Well, they are supposed to ask about households, and there's no social interaction between households in tier 2, so that's pretty clear. All the archives are having to implement that. I don't specially want to lie, though the chances of me remembering not to talk to C are pretty small.

The absurdity of all this is that a lot of it cannot be enforced - who's going to check you and your friend don't live together? It can be done in theory in some countries (eg. in Italy people must have IDs with them at all times) but here it's impossible...which is why I'm highly sceptical of these new measures. Ah well, I think I'm reaching the 'whatever' stage...

Oh yeah, there's no compliance, except they really should ask at the gallery that you go round in households/bubbles only. I don't like to chat all round an exhibit anyway, but I reckon I will forget not to talk to C at all...

14. I've always found these sorts of meals too finicky and rich for my palate but I keep trying!

I have a poorly-defined threshold for these things - limited fancy menus are quite fun, but a long string of courses really isn't.

The thing with small group travel with some kind of activity focus (cultural or otherwise) is that inevitably there's always some kind of organised social component and I really hate forced jollity with strangers - just thinking about it makes me shudder! :)

The electronic spying question is just weird...

I don't mind communal meals, especially first night get togethers. But I also need a break from them - at least one evening on a trip when I don't have to talk to anyone at all. I've lived mostly alone for too long!

*laughing* So with you on clubbing, for exactly those reasons. I never even thought of something like that (it's been so long *g*)

There are some real advantages to getting older. Clubbing not being even a suggestion of a plan is definitely one of them!
