A lot of my friends are supporting B. Obama.  They are cuckoo for Obama!  He stands for hope and change.  He stands for bipartisan solutions to our current problems.  He wants the US out of Iraq.  He wants to rebuild our nation's reputation.  He's inspiring!    My friends tell me that he's electric.  He inspires action like no other candidate since ( Read more... )

Then you support Bill Richardson or Joe Biden right?

What, exactly, do you mean by "the horror of Hillary Clinton?"

I've never liked her, ever. I find her to be a total fake. Honestly, I don't care that she is a woman. Really. She is no different than every other politician who lies with a smile. To be honest, I was ready to vote for her if she won the nomination, but given her Karl Rove style of campaigning these last two weeks (remember, I'm in Texas, getting this day after day) I've lost any modicum of respect I may have had, party loyalty be damned. I won't vote for McCain, I'll just sit it out.

She is divisive, manipulating and would spend her entire first term paying back all the favors she is asking for in this campaign. I'm not saying Obama is perfect, far from it, but he is a far better choice then she is IMHO. Besides, for someone claiming to be a feminist, she sure likes to ride her husbands coattails.

Did I mention I don't like her?;)

I just hope it ends soon, whatever the outcome, it's getting really out of hand. I don't know how Iowa and New Hampshire do it every 4 years.

Those are very heavy words, and yet, you can't give a substantive, rational argument against her besides saying: I've never liked her, she's a fake, she's Rovesque, etc. It's a pretty emotional response to a very simple question.

Have you looked at her record? Her entire career in public service has been focused on advocating for children, fighting poverty, and bringing about universal healthcare, to name a few. Her work as a senator has been real. She advocated for NY in the post 9/11 era and got a lot done for her constituency in a very effective and elegant manner.

You transfer as much vitriol unto her as you project blind hope unto Obama.

You surprise me.

I feel more or less the same way about HC as does Graham.

I also know at least four borderline Republicans/Independents who will vote McCain if she's nominated; but would vote for Obama. I don't think you should underestimate the level of discomfort people have with HC.

The discomfort exists. This is true. The source of that discomfort is questionable. I find many Hillaryphobes to be emotional and irrational. Again, asked to substantiate their intense hate--and that is what it boils down to, hate-- they can't give a straight answer.

Of the two, I prefer Clinton. However, neither one is my preference. Ideally, Edwards would be my candidate. But he's out.
