'I should have known it would happen sooner or later.  I decide to check out a channel on my own, and it decides to pop me somewhere without any immediate way back!  Now this would have been alright, if I'd ended up at a tropical resort or something, but... well, I ended up somewhere tropical alright.

What happened to you? I've seen humans in some pretty sorry states but this takes the cake.

'On one hand, I'll probably never forget that murderous look that she gave me the first time we met. True, Yoko saved me, and after that everything turned out alright, but... well, no sense staying hung up on the past. As long as she doesn't think about sticking that tail through my gut, I'm fine.'

[ Ratticate practically bristles and does some kind of... screech, or hiss, or whatever, but Kyon gives it a light pat on the head. ]

Take it easy. Yeah, turns out getting lost in a jungle for a week isn't great for my complexion.

[No promises on the "not stabbing him" thing. This is Adiane after all, and Kyon is still a human. But he managed to earn something vaguely resembling respect from her during that fight, so she's not going to attack right off the bat.

At the hostility from his raticate, the skorupi riding on her tail hisses and climbs up onto Adiane's shoulder. She doesn't seem to have any plans to stop it from acting threatening right back.]

I'd expect as much from a human. You don't seem to prepare yourselves for much.

[ The rat-type bares its obnoxiously large front teeth, but without Kyon's say-so it's just gonna glare from where it stands. They've been basically fending for their lives for a week, so yeah, he's a bit protective. ]

Not for nothing, but this is the first time I've gone into a channel that wouldn't let me out. How was I supposed to see that coming?

[Hey it's that one guy with the pet prey! Chi starts to run over to say hello...but then comes to a stop once she sees Raticate, looking surprised. That's one big mouse now.] Woaaah...it got bigger!

[ Kyon blinks as Chi starts heading is way, unable to resist a little smile. ]

'I thought dogs were supposed to be the sort of animal that run up to greet you. Maybe she's having an identity crisis?'

[ Raticate, from where it stands, just stares straight back at her. Apparently, after a week in the wild, it's not sure how to react to a friendly animal. ]

[She very well could be. Normally she'd be wanting to chase down Raticate...but it looks a little intimidating. Chi comes closer, looking up between you and Raticate]

Hey, how did Prey get so big? Chi wants to get bigger too!

[ As Kyon squats down, Raticate plods a few steps forward, circling Chi to look it over once. Damn. He really had gotten bigger. ]

Don't worry, he's not gonna eat you or anything. Don't eat her.

[The presence of the man is somewhat intimidating to say the least. He feels... slightly larger than life. If his color scheme was less white, he'd look like a kind of Film Noir detective, even though that seems to be his exact apparel. Slightly odd, but not too out there for this place.]

'... wow, that's one hell of an outfit. It's not that it's outlandish or truly bizarre, but it's just so... well, it's actually pretty cool. He looks like some kind of high-class gangster, but not. I can't honestly explain it, but all I can do is applaud his well-coordinated outfit.'

[ He stares for only a second - he's seen giant walking milkshakes, this doesn't phase him too much. ]

I'm not badly hurt or anything. Just trying to get my bearings again. Which way are the trailers?

[Boss Narumi turns and snaps his fingers, pointing in the direction of the trailers with a slight dramatic flair. It somehow manages to stop just sort of "over the top" and remain in "cool."]

That way... but I can't exactly let someone in such a bad sort go on their own.
