Day Two was a wonderful adventure as we left the cool of Colorado for the dry heat of Utah.

Thanks! The stars in Hovenweep were especially amazing because it's so far out in the middle of nowhere that the light pollution is pretty low. I thought it was great here in northern New Mexico, but that was even more spectacular.

Thank you! And, yeah, the clouds are pretty damned gorgeous. I love clouds in general, but the enormous skies out here make them even more amazing.

I lived in Utah for a good while when I was a kid, and I've spent a lot of vacation time in the places you went to. I really loved Hovenweep ... really an evocative place, and almost no tourists, which made it much better.
