Juuuune! Holy crap! Just so you know, the chapter is still very much under construction. I'm working steadily, so progress is being made, but I can't guarantee that the next part will be ready to post in the next 10 days. However, I may post a little something to tide people over until the next part (which is a doozy) is ready to go. Don't worry, I won't abandon you!
hehe, I kinda knew that would be your answer. Because June is a bitch this year for me (I don't want to pressure you with that, it's just a statement) I wait patently until it's ready since I I'm sure it's worth the wait :D
Also, I just realized I never commented before. I will have to rectify that.
I was talking to a friend just the other day who asked me for some amazing, long Sherlock AU recs, and this verse immediately sprang to mind as one of my all-time favourites. Unfortunately I couldn't remember the title or author and googling proved fruitless and I thought I'd lost this forever - until, while on a completely unrelated trawl of Kirk/Spock fic, I came accross your wonderful writing again... So I clicked on your username, hoping to find more K/S, only to discover you were also the author of this verse!! I'm definitely not forgetting you now <3
tl;dr: you are awesome and have the best taste in fandoms ily
Oh yay, I'm so glad you found this again! I hate it when I forgot to bookmark a story that I want to send to someone. I'm doubly glad that K/S helped you find it again! Are you excited that Benedict Cumberbatch will be in the new Trek movie? Oh man, the possibilities. Anyway, thanks for stopping by to comment. Yay fandom coincidences!
This is simply wonderful. I finished everything you've written so far in this AU in one go, entirely captivated. The world you've created here is entirely believeable. Not a very nice world certainly. The characters however slot in perfectly, reamaining wonderfully ic. Sherlock haughty and alluring, John human and with a basic wisdom, Mycroft an enigma, maybe even to himself, Lestrade solid and dependable and Mrs. Hudson, well, she's Mrs. Hudson of course. I love that you mention Jim from it straight away, that really gives one the shivers. Moran is a proper bastard as he should be. The way you work in scenes and dialogues from the series is very smart and believable, hugely adding to the attractiveness of this marvellous fiction. The pace of your writing and your dialogue are simply terrific. The sex is really hot. I simply can't praise this enough. And Mr. Froggie ... *snigger*
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts! I've had a great time messing about with these characters in a universe that is, as you note, a bit not good. I'm so glad you found the characters to be themselves in this setting. It's been interesting to work in canon elements to this world, especially since the second series came out mid-story. Still, I'd rather have more canon to work with, so I'll take what Gattis and Moffat give us! The next installment is currently under construction, so if all goes well, hopefully you'll have more soon!
Thanks very much! I'm having a great time writing in this 'verse. Oh, Star Trek! I'm very much looking forward to the new movie, and the resurgence of fandom it will hopefully bring. In the meantime, thanks for de-lurking to let me know what you think! The next installment is under construction.
