It's nearly time to start making decisions. Even though semester one hasn't even started yet, after-graduation future looms ahead. And as much as I love spur of the moment craziness, it doesn't really work that way in the middle of academia over in Auckland. All of these sound awesome, to be honest. I would be hard-put to choose if I were you, too.

I am fond of the writing-a-few-novels idea, except the only thing I can write that people seem to want to read is pr0n. I have no beef with pr0n and if it is good to me, that's all for the better, but it's not really how I want to launch my Brilliant Career.

Hehe, these are ALL options that I considered when I graduated at the end of 2008 (apart from the MMHS one - I didn't know about that and it sounds awesome!) I'm going down the journalism route this year with the PGDipJ at AUT. I'm not 100% sold on the idea of being a journalist (uh, I kind of hate journalists) but I think the training will open up doors in the PR/communications/publishing fields, so that when I get my within-12-months-of-graduating work visa for the States, I can get a job that doesn't involve manual labour. Fingers crossed ( ... )

I'm kind of totally the same with journalism, although part of my concern is that I'd make a decent features/reviews type writer, but I would probably be dreadful at reporting, which I guess is a necessary part of the career path. But, like you say, the opening up other possibilities thing needs to be taken into consideration ( ... )
