To renew my paid account or not?

On one hand, I really like being able to expand thread and edit my comments.

On the other hand, LJ's business choices are fucking terrible lately and I'd rather not support that.

What to do, what to do?

This is why I didn't reup my paid account when mine expired and tbh I miss it a lot and am thinking of buying one again. The thing that I miss the most is having the option to default everything to style=mine. It turns out there are some fugly as hell journal layouts out there. Pink on pink? Gray on black? WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE THINKING?

Since they changed the comment fields, me and my upgraded account have been able to edit comments for the first time ever, and I've been able to expand comment threads in most places. Although not all communities. Still, I was suprised by the comment editing; I always thought that was for Paid Accounts Only.

Free accounts can edit comments! And post polls now, too!

I can expand threads and I seem to recall this proves that I can edit comments, and I have never had a paid account here.
