Thank Christ my brother's okay

My brother Casey works in a restaurant that was nearby to the explosion. He went to work today excited, thinking they'd be busy because of the marathon crowds. The glass windows out front blew in from the blast. Thank Jesus he wasn't hurt, but everyone sitting near them was all cut up from the shards. He had to help people who were bleeding all

I'm so glad your brother is safe! Angels are watching over Boston. So many more bad things could have happened and didn't. Prayers are with all the families of victims. I'm so glad your family is safe.

Glad to hear he's okay. I didn't think I knew anyone that close to the scene, but this reminds me how small the world really is, and how big events can ripple through like waves in a pond. And I am with all the runners who have said something along the lines of 'we're going to pick ourselves up and run the next time, and the time after, and the time after that; until the people who commit these atrocities understand that we will not give in to fear'.
