Hi.

[Hello Med'an, how are you? He's fine, thank you very much. The little green face on screen is pleasant, although there's something kind of thoughtful about his expression, as well. In the background, a white rabbit is lying on a pillow, relaxing. He turns to pet it absently while he speaks....so....if you had always celebrated your birthday ( Read more... )

[ Huh, that's... actually vaguely relevant to him, who never knew his own, real birthday, and has no real way of finding out. What would have he done if he had, though? ]

It's up to you. I'd say it depends on which you think of as your real birthday.

...As for dates, just make sure that you're both having fun. [ A short pause. ] But considering how cold it's been recently, this isn't really the time for ice cream, is it?

[We'll make him a birthday, obviously.]

I guess I think of...the first one I had, the one I've always used, as my "real" birthday. I mean...it's the one I'm used to. [...] But it's not actually the day I was born...so....

[ponder......(aha) as for the date, he nods - having fun, he can do that.]

I - accidentally upset a friend, and she wants ice cream as an apology.

[Is he being pushed around by a girl? Yes. Yes he is.]

As long as you know that, I don't think it matters. Well, if it really bugs you, though, it might be better to celebrate on the other one instead.

[ Oh, so cute Med'an ;u; also yes he can totally tell so he looks at him for a moment and smiles ]

...Oh, I see how it is. Don't worry, though, I won't pry. [ but he doesn't stop smiling... ] Don't let her push you around too much, though. It's not good for any relationship if one half turns into a doormat. [ and while this may look like just teasing, he also actually, seriously means that... he's the kind of guy that likes to give advise and disguise it as snark ]

... Huh? [ She looks a bit confused. ] How could it suddenly be on a different day? I don't get it..

And.. ice cream sounds really good right now!

Oh, well....[oh cute....he smiles and waves his hands around as he tries to explain. The hand-waving is obviously very important.]

It's not...actually on a different day. I thought that it was one day, so that's when I had my cake and stuff, but now I know that it's not actually that day. That I wasn't actually born then.

[...did that make sense?]

Does that make sense?

And I owe someone ice cream for upsetting her. [spoilers, its Levia...]

Um.. I think I get it a little, but.. [ She pauses, putting up a finger to her cheek as she thinks. ] How did you think it was a different day to start with? Did your parents tell you the wrong date..?

[ At that she pouts a little though. ]

That doesn't sound very good though! You shouldn't upset people, that's a mean thing to do!

My parents didn't raise me. I had an adopted father. [He says it pretty easily - he knows it might be a weird thing to hear for her, but he's been mostly fine with it throughout his life. Meryl is a good dad, so. BUT WAIT NO DON'T POUT - ]

What the hell is wrong with you? You wont do well on a date if you just go all shy the whole time.

As for birthdays, I don't know, I'd keep it the same. I mean, I never did my birthday on a set day once I left home. Sort of grew out of it you know?

[klsdfaj!!! sometimes you are mean North...!!!]

I'm not shy! I'm just asking for advice! That's all!

[(NOTTALKING)!!!! - ok next topic. Birthdays.]

Why didn't you keep it the same after you left home?

north_skie October 11 2011, 06:52:12 UTC
[shrugs] I did keep it the same, I just forgot exactly when it was. It's in summer, that's all I need to know.

Seems a lot of people around here are concerned about birthdays.

Dates too.

[He tilts his head, actually looking a little....sad.]

Your birthday is important. [Why did you forget...? :( ]

And dates are how we...well....tell...the time. That's important too, right?

Whichever one comes sooner. [giggle]

What do you need to know about dates~? I'll help~ Having some kind of meal is usually a staple of dates, even if you don't eat a full meal, food is almost certainly involved.

[He ponders this briefly...]

I guess my..."real"...birthday comes sooner. By a few days.

[ - and oh, he's going to get teased...isn't he.....w-well she's being helpful so far............(slowly walks into trap)]

A meal....we're meeting a little before noon. We could have a lunch!

What if it's too cold for her? Or for me. I'm not used to such cold winters.
