I really put the boys through the wringer in this one! They're damaged but will heal with each other's love. :)

The story really stayed with me all these years, so I decided to take the basic premise and substitute Bruce for Lois and then put my own spin on it. It was truly a powerful story when it was first published and still retains that power today.
You did it justice, definitely. The story had a lot of emotion, especially from the point where Bruce relocated to Maine. Great job with this. You should be proud.

Thanks, T.! I'm happy that you read and commented and liked! :)
I love understated drama with dollops of emotion as in Clark losing it after Bruce couldn't kiss him and so on. I do like to challenge the readers to see if they get the flow of things without always stating it outright. If I do my job, people can figure it out! :)

For a love story, this was so utterly tragic that I almost couldn't keep the tears away. *wibbles some more*
Gods, what a fantastic story, hon. *applauds wildly*

Yeah, I really poured the angst on in this one. :)

I'm glad it evoked strong emotions from you! That was what I was going for.

I had to write in the happiness, considering all the tough times.
Then the terrible grief and despair. Awesome.
I'm glad so many people read this. It wasn't an easy read (or write!)
Your use of Dick was a delight. I loved this. YAY! :)
Thanks, luv! And Dick is always a delight. ;)
