I did some overtime work last fortnight and was looking forward to getting it today.  But when I checked the bank balance this morning, it wasn't there (only my usual salary was).

Here I am, stuck at work.  Good thing I get paid double time for overtime. :)

To tie in the subject line, when drinking something like a 'Splice' (thanks Nicola), the second half is going to be interesting.  I have much the same outlook on the second half of 2007.  Work and Family commitments will dominate the next 6 months with varying degrees.

I had my Applications Programmer interview today... God I was nervous...  It turns out, it was all for nothing.  I think I did pretty well in the interview, answering all questions - not nearly as many as I'd expected - although one I think I fumbled badly, but kinda recovered with a mention of my analysis skills ( Read more... )

Well, the office at least. :)  We stopped to have a 'Melbourne Cup' morning tea today to watch the Cup.  We had an office sweep too.  I put in for two horses in a 50c sweep, thought my chances were better than one horse in the $1 sweep. :)  I ended up getting Pop Rocks with one of them, so for 50c, I picked up $4 which I was pretty happy with ( Read more... )

I'm back at work for CSU now.  It was a little unorganised as my desk had theoretically been assigned to someone else.  However, this person is currently on leave and they had not moved to it yet.  So, in all, I'm back at my old desk :P  But only for a short period of time, as the desk actually belongs to another area of the division ( Read more... )
