Okay so first, I apologize for my long hiatus from reading this magnificent story. My life has been so busy, it seems like I've had very little time for fandom at all, outside of a little bit of painting. Forgive me?
On that note, what a beautiful addition. The scene on top of the apartment building... wonderfully well written. One of your skills in writing is that you can fully flesh out an atmosphere so that it's easy to interpret in all sorts of sensory modes. I live in a hot and humid area, so even now, when it's 15 degrees outside, I could feel the heat and humidity and the gravel and the scorch of the sun. I'm very interested to see where the fight with Evann came from, as well. They do seem very cookie-cutter, but that sort of relationship is never what it seems, is it?
Your Riku and Kairi interaction is just very cute. And not in a sickening way, either. In a very real-world social way. Nothing ever seems forced with your character interaction, no matter who you write, and that's a great skill as well.
