But Neil did say, more recently, he was fed up and wanted to wrap things up with a two-hour film in lieu of a fourth season. So in a way, he's getting what he wanted.

I doubt Neil had anything to do with it. It's the networks who decide to cancel shows; the producers can only try and get them to change their minds and clearly he wasn't able to.

At least we DID get 3 seasons. Some shows don't even get that much.
