I think a big part of why I adore Marguerite as much as I do is that she's sooooo ahead for her time. She speaks her mind, independent, intelligent, self-sufficent, all traits that most people would attribute to men during that period, but yet, as tough as she is, she does have her feminine moments. She's an excellent shakeup for the crew I think, and especially for Roxton, jaded and carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders and all. Their banter is what gets me going.
Some may like Ned/Veronica, and they're okay. But they lack a certain... fire (read: witty banter and sexual chemistry) to keep me entertained.
I just love how nobody can escape their past, even in... (wait for it) THE LOST WORLD XDXDXD
I read it, I loved it and you are NEVER allowed to be disparaging about your fics, ever again, 'k? IT'S NOT COOL. *thwacks* I went in all 'well, I should lower my expectations' and then got blown away with your awesome. I mean. GAH. Friends warn other friends, all right? I don't know how coherent I was at the time, I think I was babbling a little, lol.
hahah... well I'm glad you enjoyed! I did have a fun time writing it, and I really need to get back to it... along with about a billion other fics I've started up and failed to complete XDXDXD
Well, not that I'm biased or anything but I'm voting for TLW. :P The fun light-hearted series. I took a look at the other one but it depressed me. *woes* The writing is good, of course, but the premise breaks my heart a little- wait, actually, I should probably be making this comment over there. I'll get to it eventually. You have no idea how many authors are on my list of 'People to Review'. It's a long list. *iz ashamed*
