It is! I think I'm starting from a position of wanting it to do/show everything and gradually paring it back... it's an ensemble vid but I think I need to focus in on a few characters to avoid it being too hard to follow--so I'm at the stage of making some hard calls there.
I hate concerts when the crowd is...weird. The last concert I went to was for a band I really love but the crowd just skewed so young that, until I got right up front, it was almost awkward. They were just too into the whole angst for angst sake. And don't get me wrong, I love my black nail polish and eyeliner just as much as the next girl when it's appropriate and the occasion calls for it. But I'm well beyond the posing aspect of it. So yeah weird crowds can suck the life out of a concert.
Best of luck with the vidding...I love having that creative desire though it often proves more frustrating before it's fulfilling. Going over to check out taragel's battlestarbook. :)
Oh I think I would have preferred the emo crowd to what I had! This crowd was full of metrosexuals and girls in heels, dangly earings and halter tops with wine glasses in hand. It's not a coctail party, people!
And yeah, I find it really amusing to go to concerts nowadays and not be affected by that whole posing thing. I was always so self-conscious when I was younger but now I couldn't care less and it feels so pointless to care!
Oh I'd much prefer the emo crowd to what you had to deal with. I can't stand hipsters/metrosexuals...they're all over DC and it's just so...boring. How about some originality people?
I've found that I'm beyond caring as well. Which is why my wardrobe has turned into black tanks/shirts and jeans...shoes and accessories determined by what kind of event I'm going to. It makes life so much easier.
I am going to my first concert in absolutely ages....this weekend. I just love Nick Cave and my husband surprised me with tickets to the all tomorrow's parties festival at Mt Buller this coming weekend...I can't wait.
"I am feeling completely lukewarm (at best) about the impending beginning of Season 4.5 of Battlestar Galactica."
I was a little like that a few months ago, but my great rewatch (completed new years day) has injected me with a rabid enthusiasm...I can't wait. I have not watched the webisodes yet, I am saving them all up to watch at once, just prior to the first ep of season 4.5
Ohh, I hope you have fun at Nick Cave! I remember you like him. :)
I meant to rewatch but I feel like 4.0 crushed all the joy out of my soul. I didn't talk about it in my journal but I feel like I've lost the show I loved. So I couldn't bring myself to... if 4.5 manages to redeem things I may feel up for one, otherwise I may ceremoniously burn the later seasons and go wallow in some early season awesome instead. ;)

It's cool that you're feeling hyped though.
