Comicbook Resources just posted a bunch of the new creative teams for this Rebirth (NOT A RELAUNCH! apparently).

Most notably for this comm: "Blue Beetle" from writer Keith Giffen and artist Scott Kolins (Johns confirmed the return of Ted Kord, saying the book is "Jaime Reyes, with his mentor, Ted Kord")I believe that's to start in the late summer ( Read more... )

I will definitely be keeping an eye out for that.

And I'm still wondering what's going on with the liveaction/animation front that made them pull Ted out of Arrow after giving Berlanti etc permission to use him, so they had to rewrite quick for Atom.

Yeah, me too. What's happening with Booster these days? Is he still Waverider? I've only been reading some of the You titles and have lost track since last spring.

I'm really curious about the TV thing as well. You'd think that Blue&Gold would make a fun tv show, but there certainly hasn't been anything concrete.

I think both Booster and Beetle were in Justice League 3000 for awhile, but I only saw a few scans on Scans Daily.

It is just so weird. The let the writer's salt in foreshadowing references to Kord R&D on Arrow, and as far as I know he was supposed to be Ted right up to the casting of Brandon Routh. Then all of a sudden the DC brass say they have plans for Ted Kord/beetle and they have to rewrite everything for Ray Palmer/The Atom.

I was half expecting a meaty cameo in Batman V Superman.

I don't think they've been in JLI 3001 much either. I gave up on that book after the weird gender fail with Guy though, so could be wrong.

Ha! That would have been just about enough to make me go see BvS. Maybe. (Well, okay, probably not).

I'm cautiously interested in this book. On the one hand, Ted coming back as Jaime's mentor is something I've wanted for ages. On the other hand, the way DC was treating Jaime and his supporting cast was a factor in me backing off their books almost entirely. Plus I still very well remember being jerked around regarding Ted's return... I'll definitely be checking this out, though.

These are basically my feelings. I think I lasted six issues of Nu52 Jaime, then bailed and haven't been back. But on the other hand, Giffen, and Ted, and they seem to be somewhat... idk, resetting the continuity.

I guess we'll see what the previews look like.
