Wow, a female director in pinku film? Awesome post!

I only knew of Yuki Tanada and Mika Ninagawa... and Sakura Ando =) Love Exposure is really wicked in a really awesome way. xD

kamikaze girls was another amazing female centric film. i was so convinced it was an epic love story between momoko and ichigo that i completely missed the heterosexual tangent it went on. i did not even realize there was a male love interest until my second time viewing, but it was so inconsequential that i was like whatevs, we still have MOMOKO AND ICHIGO DRIVING OFF ON HER SCOOTER.

i LOVE Kamikaze Girls! I completely agree with you about how adorable they were and how I almost didn't even realize there was a het romance, haha. Momoko/Ichigo FOREVER <3.

Hana & Alice has also that story between the girls with the male love interest in it, in the end the two friends choose each other ;D

If I hadn't watched that movie so much, I wouldn't register his name is Miyamoto-sempai lol
