Boy, just when I thought things were going good...somebody had to throw a wrench into the whole thing.

How I wish Ennis talked to Jack, though....somehow, I think Ennis' fear of what is going to happen to Jack might be closer to home than he thinks.

Darnitall, I just left you the bestest message ever and LJ ate it! Argh!

Basically, it said that I loved this chapter to pieces, especially E&J reading the paper together in bed, but I'm mad (once again!) at Ennis for thinking his leaving Jack is going to be better for him than if they stayed together. Doesn't the poor sap know that love is stronger than any punch ever thrown?

Thanks so much for posting this, especially when you haven't been feeling well. Hope things get easier soon,

FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! Here we go again! When will Ennis realize that leaving Jack will cause Jack to be in far more danger than staying with him. Jack will become promiscuous and start drinking, maybe drugs, any man. No, No, No! This simply has to be prevented, and Ennis is the preventer! Please let Ennis come to his senses! Thanks. Carole

Oh that's such a bummer. I know Ennis is freaking out but I wish he would talk to Jack about it. It will only make things worse, doesn't he see that?
