How many have you read?

Apparently the BBC reckons most people will have only read 6 of the 100 books listed under the cut. How many have you read?

I've read 32. I'm quite surprised at some of the books on the list, like THE DA VINCI CODE.

IKR? It's hard to take seriously a list that includes the Da Vinci Code. I've read hundreds of books NOT on this or any other list, and the vast majority were of more worth and containing more beauty than that piece of glorified bog roll.

The list is half of 'The Nation's Favourite Reads' as voted for by the public - as you can tell, The Da Vinci Code had just been released... And schools kept ganging up and voting for Jacqueline Wilson, so she got like 10 books in! All very odd.

Aren't 33 & 36 sort of redundant? I'll be back to do the meme later.

14 and 98 is redundant, too. It's hard to take this list seriously.

I've read twenty. Wow, I feel like some of them really... shouldn't be there? (Da Vinci Code, I'm looking at you.) But my favorite--GWTW--is represented, as are Wuthering Heights and P and P, so it's fine.

No kidding. The Da Vinci Code? I guess they wanted every literate person in the world to have read at least one. (GWtW is my favorite, too.)
