“So, it’s called the ‘suck & blow’ game!” Kevin chirped from his main MC chair, reading the hint cards. “It’s pretty simple in fact - we have this card,” and he raised a small white card with red doodle of a heart taking most of its space on both surfaces, “and we put over our lips, sucking in the air so it’ll stay in place and then pass it to the next person’s lips, blowing for him to suck and catch it.”

“We have to do it without our hands?” Eli asked, making a disgusted face.

“Yes,” Kevin answered seriously, not so excited himself.

Alexander giggled in a very mature fashion and the other two gave an uneasy small chuckle.

“I don’t want to do this with guys,” Eli complained to the producers’ booth, which had them smile sympathetically, but they offered no help.

“I know, right?” Alexander agreed, putting down the pink star-shaped glasses he’d been wearing for that day’s show. “What’s the point in almost kissing if we don’t do it with girls?”

“I told you, guys, we need girl guests in this place,” Kevin commented sadly with a refrained sigh.

“It’s like they’re making us do justice to our name or something,” Eli said mockingly.

They stopped complaining at the booth’s sign and went back to work. After announcing it’d start with him, Kevin grabbed the card, placing it over his lips. Glancing at the producer noona, he got his cue and sucked the air in, making the card glue to his lips. Bending over the table with a rather desperate glare, he gestured wildly for Eli to do the same, moving their faces closer when he did. Also bent over the table to watch it properly, Alexander had a slightly apprehensive small smile on his lips, anticipating.

Just as he was about to pass the card do Eli, the latter, who’d been failing at keeping a serious face, burst into laughter, causing him to lose focus and let the card drop. Kevin grabbed it and threw it at Eli with a pout.

“What’s so funny?” he couldn’t contain his smile himself.

“I don’t know, you were too close, it was weird!” Eli explained, hiding his flushed face with both hands. Alexander pointed to his reddening ears while laughing that loud laughter of his.

“Kevin and Eli sitting in the tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G,” he clapped his hands and bounced on his chair. He stopped when Eli nudged his ribcage rather forcefully.

“Ok, second try,” Kevin announced and bent over the table this time before starting. He proceeded to pass the card to Eli, who still had problems not snickering. Alexander waggled both hands in nervousness, looking doubtfully at the card on Eli’s lips, as if trying to pick a better angle.

Eli let out an impatient groan and Kevin yelled a hurried “come on” at him, so he went forward a little too quickly, bumping their noses somewhat painfully and they both put their hands over their faces with protesting noises.

“This is definitely the last try,” Kevin said to the other two, who nodded seriously. He successfully passed the card to Eli, who sucked it glued to his mouth. Eli then moved to Alexander, not giving him the chance to choose an angle this time. But it happened to quickly and, before, anyone could notice, the card fell from his lips a second before they were on Alexander’s.

A gasp came from Kevin and the studio went dead silent. A little startled, Alexander jerked back and it would have ended it there, but Eli followed him, not allowing the break of contact, and half climbed onto his chair and over him. Alexander stared at his closed eyelids for quick seconds until Eli nibbled his lower lip, making him give an almost unperceptive groan and slowly flutter his eyes shut, giving him permission to experiment more.

By then, the whole crew had incredulous frozen faces, not quite sure if that should or shouldn’t be filmed. Some of the girl assistants might have drooled a little.

Kevin, alternating his desperate cries from “oh my God” to a horrified “ew”, ran out of the shooting booth.

To anyone who asked, he was sure he’d seen Eli drop the card on purpose.

Kevin picked his hint card. “Ok, so, now we’re going to play ‘Tomorrow’, by HAM,” he announced with a smile. Then he discreetly glanced at Eli, who was immobile.

“HAM, huh?” Alexander smirked, while Eli was still avoiding looking at anyone. “Did you hear that, Eli?” and he elbowed the boy a little, “It’s HAM!”

There was a moment in which Eli let out an unmistakable sob. Kevin looked disapprovingly at Alexander, who just raised his hands in a defensive way. The intense silence was only disturbed by a louder sob and Eli led one hand to his nose, biting his lower lip.

When Alexander gave him a pat to his shoulder, he broke down, turning to the camera and pitifully calling Hyoni’s name. Alexander tried to hold him back to his place while Kevin made an X with his arms to the director.

“But that’s because Kevin and Alexander are girls,” Eli said with a sly smile.

Both Kevin and Alexander stared at him with distaste. “So do you think I’m trying to act like a girl right now?” the former inquired.

“And they’re very happy to be in front of Eli,” he blatantly ignored the other one, too far in his own little Eli world, “and they try to impress Eli…”

“You’re going to break the camera because you’re too disgusting!” Alexander interrupted with a roll of eyes.

“Well, that’s what it’s like in bed, at least,” Eli mumbled to himself victoriously, receiving piercing glares when he looked up again.

“Ok, cut and edit this last part out,” said the director, putting a hand over his forehead.

During the next weeks, Eli twitched a lot during filming.

Alexander grabbed the camera the staff handed to him and walked around the small studios, showing what was inside his bag. Kevin was in the restroom and Eli was elsewhere, so he was out of entertaining ideas.

Wandering around for a while saying random things, he spotted Kevin opening the door of restroom. Figuring fans would find if funny since Kevin was an idol, he turned the camera to him and giggled a little as Kevin walked absent mindedly, totally unaware.

However, the second later Eli also stepped out, enlacing Kevin in a loose hug as they both carried lazy smiles on their faces. Alexander froze. The restroom had only one stall.

The frame was now set on his feet and the camera recorded his desperate whispers of “oh, God, how do I turn this off?”

“Ok, Kevin, what’s your current theme song?” Alexander asked since that was the issue brought up by the last fan letter.

“Um, I guess…” Kevin tapped a finger on his chin. “Probably ‘Into The New World’, by Girls’ Generation,” he said with a cute nod. “Because I always try to face little fears and anxiety in order to follow my dreams,” he concluded with a smile and an adorable pose to the camera as Alexander pretended he was puking and Eli laughed at Alexander’s antics.

“Girls’ Generation are probably crying right now after being mentioned by you,” he commented and Alexander laughed louder, while Kevin couldn’t hold back his own chuckle.

“Oh, we’re really sorry, So Nyeo Shi Dae,” Alexander said in Korean while bowing and Eli joined him.

“You’re so mean,” Kevin gave a mock pout.

“Ok, moving on,” Alexander said loudly and turned to Eli. “What about you? What’s your theme song right now?”

They waited as Eli made a suspenseful pause.

“’I Get It In’, by Omarion,” he finally said, offering Alexander a very suggestive waggle of brows, which made him blush like the girl Eli had previously said he was.

Kevin made an X with his arms to the director.

“On number four we have…” Eli called as Kevin removed the blocking plate from the chart, “Rainism!” they said in unison.

They were asked to try dancing a little of the song to the camera and Kevin went first, a little embarrassed at how unable to act sexy he was. Eli was the next one, not really trying that hard, but still receiving compliments because he was beastly that way. Not succeeding on his attempt to let the show go on without his turn, Alexander ended up shyly doing his short rendering of the choreography, to which Kevin tried to be supportive but Eli just made fun of.

“But, really, Rain is really charismatic onstage,” Eli started once they stopped laughing.

“Yeah, and his dance skills are amazing,” Kevin went on, though Eli cut in.

“And his body,” his voice went a little too high pitched, “Oh, my Gosh!”

The other two giggled when Eli went further and made drooling gestures. Alexander, however, realized just how bad it made him look and tried to pretend that was no reason for people to think Eli was “something”.

The editor who was in charge of that part was expressly told to edit it out, but, since he was still a rookie, he ended up forgetting it and not only left it there, but also emphasized on Eli’s doubtful declaration.

Fans didn’t mind it that much, anyway.
