The Groundhoggus officialis has seen its shadow. Since winter hasn't actually arrived in Texas yet, does this mean 6 more weeks of autumn?

I always forget that Groundhog Day is a thing.

Yeah, it's been about 60 degrees here for the past week or so. Very nice. We've had some cold stretches, but they haven't lasted more than a few days at a time before the temperature creeps upward. It's my favorite winter I can remember.

I too have enjoyed not freezing this winter, but I have the nagging sense that it will cause a rise in the pollen count or do something else hideous later this year.

I'm waiting for Damocles Other Shoe to fall.

Oh, my allergies, which are usually quiet in the dead of winter, have been atrocious. So there's that.
