Today was Sebastian's last day at Wee Folk. He's been going there for three years now, even in the summers. I made up a sign-up sheet and asked for people's email addresses and phone numbers, so we can stay in touch and maybe arrange play dates. This morning we went on a tour of Sebastian's new school (he's starting first grade next week!). It was quite nice and old-fashioned. The only jarring thing was the large, lifelike, and surprisingly gory crucifix hung in the indoor gym/tv room. Blackstone is not going to lower their out-of-state school fee. It's $10,000 per year. And we can't afford that. Even if we could, it would be an insane expenditure - college tuition for first grade? $10,000 would be a large chunk of a down payment on a new house in a better school district ( Read more... )
