Nevada? Oh dear. That's probably one of the least pretty states to visit. I hope on your next trip to the States, you get to see more scenic places.

Yeah, it was Las Vegas. My idea of hell - the desert at dusk is very pretty though...

I've been to Las Vegas. In 1985 we flew to Vegas, rented a car and traveled around Arizona and Colorado. That's the trip when we discovered Durango. However, if I never go to Las Vegas again, that would be too soon.

Probably LV has many good points, one of them being hosting a writercon. But since I had near-terminal jetlag, I felt as if I was in hell, looking out through thick glass at people who were not in hell, if not in heaven...
