If you're unhappy with the placement and you know you're not going to keep it, take it out immediately, keep it clean, give your lip several weeks to heal, and then get it redone after that. As far as the swelling and discharge, it's just pissed off because you had it pierced three days ago and then changed the jewelry. Pretty normal reaction.
Also, regarding this:
they were pierced with a 16 gauge needle so i semi large scars from them which is no big deal to me but at the notion of having more scars, i decided to have the new piercing done through the old scar (this time it was with a 14 gauge so we figured scarring be minimal?).
14g is larger than 16g, so if anything, there would be more scarring. Not sure where the train of thought went on that one.
I'd say take it out, let it heal, get it repierced. I got my Monroe repierced and it knocked against my teeth in an odd way - I said something immediately and the piercer said it should 'find it's own groove' but he was an idiot and I had to take it out a few days later :( take care of those teeth!! :)
