So, site support has informed me that their new comment coding update crashes Explorer 8. The rest of the message amounted to "sorry 'bout that...try another browser".

Wait... WHAT?!?

Your unnecessary coding update doesn't work with a major browser. Why don't you FIX THE CODING instead of giving me a work-around suggestion?!?So, I WILL be able to

Seriously... this is crap service from LJ, but to be honest, I didn't know that people still used Explorer. I'm not sure it does qualify as a major browser anymore - not to say their response is in any way acceptable. Just, I think LJ treated you badly AND that your work should allow you to use anything but Explorer.

I've added my two cents (and more) at the news site, the update feedback site, and the update listing their compromised attempts at fixes.

I'm not immediately bailing from LJ, but I'll be using what paid time I have left to thoroughly migrate things to DW, methinks.

(I'm debating moving the Shadow Gallery there, but honestly? It would just be to have it as an archive.)

don't know if this is pertinent to you, but I read on another friend's page that users who also have Greasemonkey were unable to post comments until they turned off Greasemonkey.
