I took yesterday off because my long lost friend SF was in town from Montreal and I decided to spend the day with him.

We had a lovely, long lunch at the Queen Mother cafe, after which he asked me to help him buy a vibrator for his 20 year old girlfriend.

I dunno, I think that's kinda sweet that S considers you enough of an old pal to ask for your expertise in this area. That sounded like quite a nice life-affirming moment between friends, with enough comedy to keep the laughter going.

I hope he's doing well... he's only 38 though, his bits 'n pieces should still be up to snuff I would think / hope?

As for the 20yr-old girlfriend, I realize my own lifestyle perhaps leaves me in a "throwing rocks from within a glass house" kinda situation. But, I will return this, which I thought spoke volumes:

*ahem* Also, as wife to a 40-something dude, I can say unreservedly that after 35 things start to make up their own work schedule down there. Getting older ain't for sissies... sometimes you just gotta work a little bit harder, mmmkay? ;)

I wasn't weirded out by his 20 year girlfriend; more IMPRESSED. He also has a bit of added swagger these days. It's all for the good in my book, and, he is well aware of how things are likely to change in the next few years.

I think that he just wanted to out do his brother...
