It's certainly about time I caught up with all the things I've been doing over the past couple of weeks and posted photos of the places I've been to. It's great having people come to stay and it gives me the chance to play tour guide, show them around and, to a certain extent, see my patch as a visitor would see it. From the first glance at the building I thought it was Killerton House because of orange walls:)

It's true what you say about the money you spend on those gardens and houses. It's really worth buying the National Trust card if you live there. Though we thought some places were not worth money we paid for the entrance.

I know what you mean. I think they have all put their prices up (certainly the National Trust ones) so that it's more attractive to buy the membership. having said that, there are a lot of places like Hestercombe, and Forde Abbey, that are not National Trust properties and I'm sure it would be in their interests to keep their prices down. I know it costs a lot to keep them going but, perhaps, they would have more visitors if they were more affordable. Just a thought. :))

Yes, it's another place I would love to take you to visit one day! :)) At this rate you will have to stay for a month to visit all the places I want to show you! :))
