and not having anything to do with dating a band geek, well I guess it could be a band geek but lets not go there. Anyway I am starting to get the urge to try and start going running again. It is time i started making gains on getting into shape. But I know my limitations so i was wondering if anyone wanted to try to go running with me on ( Read more... )

I too have been attempting to get into shape. Mostly for the schladies. And I too go running on the weekends. Unfortunately, my running on the weekends mostly--okay, totally--involves doing laps around the office building. However, if you want to BART up to SF you are certainly more than welcome to join me. There is free water and we can blast music from the speakers while we run and there's a ready availability of chairs for the resting, etc. I think it's plan, sir!

Fitness! It's the bomb! Then you too can have your own cavalcade of schladies that you'll never ask out, like the Italian nun, BusGirl (tm), et al. Awesome! (Also you can see and be creepy/stalkery around BusGirl too if you come up on a Saturday and join me for rehearsal. Oh yeah, and there would be music. And you'd be out of the damn house.)

Be sure to take glucosamine and chondroitin, if you aren't already. I love running, but it's hell on the knees. Also, remember to ice and heat, alternately, after you run, to keep everything happy.

Instead of running at the start you should walk or power walk. Trust me I have a problem with my knee to and running makes everthing worse. But if you are still intrested, I want to start walking around Lake Elisabeth. Let me know.
