I'm so Glad you read this series. I loved it so much, but didn't know anyone that had read it, so there was no one to squee with about it. So YAY, now I can Squee!

Flynn and Hadley are a nice addition to the story..and I was happy to see they return in the next book as well. That's one of the MANY things I loved about this series, is the characters (russ and clare, as well as the rest of the residents of millers kill) continue though the various books, letting us get to know them better gradually as the series progresses. Speaking of which, I just finished 'one was a solder' today. I went as slow as I could *L* and I'm not saying anything. Let me know when you've read it... then I'll talk ;)

"...and, well, damn. *fans self* "
LOL, it was good to know she can write angst, action and the 'other stuff' as well ;)

I'm so glad you recommended it, and it's so much fun to squee with you about it! *bounces*

Yeah, she does a great job with the 'other stuff' ;) Though I've read the full range in fic, I think that for published books there's kind of a fine line between being graphic enough without it being too much, and she finds that balance really well.

The library still has the same number of holds on One Was a Solider as they did on Monday. I'm quite cranky about this. But I did figure out how to download the Kindle app to my computer so I could read the letters, and that made me very happy! The sneak preview seemed a bit different than the one included in the paperback of I Shall Not Want, and I'm excited to read it! (I wanted to read the whole thing last night, but my husband's friends were over and they're really, really loud, so I decided to hold off until I could actually concentrate.)

And now that I have this Kindle app, I'm really tempted to buy One Was a Soldier in that format, though it'll be less convenient - by which I mean, portable ( ... )

Loved it. Simply loved it. It, and One Was a Soldier are my favorites of the series. (so far ...). This particular one had everything including a happy/sad/angst ending, which was perfect. I read it about 4 times through fully and several portions a heck of a lot more times than that, all in the space of the three weeks I had it from the library. (don't worry, there were more copies and no wait list so I didn't feel bad about keeping it the full 3 weeks).

Such an amazing series. I love everything about it. Russ and Clare more than anything, but I love all the characters and everything about the stories as a whole too. Thank you again for introducing me to them!
