A belated happy holidays to everyone!

It's the day after Boxing Day here and boy, is it hot. I'd forgotten how hot it can be over Xmas time in NZ.

mintyfiend and I had a nice relaxed Christmas that involved lots of movies, lots of board games and lots of food. It's a little bit sad, since we're both away from our families for Xmas for the first time in our lives, but I think we did a pretty ( Read more... )

Your birds are so pretty. We're glad you had a good Christmas! It's sad about the earthquakes in Christchurch. I'll have to email you some new pics of Aly, she looked very cute in her Christmas outfit. :)

Thanks! How was your Christmas?

Luckily the quakes didn't cause too many problems for the holidays for people.

I'd love to see some more pics of Aly! I need to get myself together and post off the few bits and pieces I've got here for her.

Happy New Year!

That sucks that your holidays have been so short! I guess I've been lucky that the university closes over Xmas and NY so it's not like I can do work anyway, since otherwise I'd probably be there :(

I hope you get to spend some more time relaxing soon though!

Thanks for the new year wishes! <3

I'm glad you got to meet them too! They're doing well with their training but they're so silly sometimes. I'm sure I'll bore you with stories about them lots and lots!

Eee, congrats on getting the birds! I love their names, btw!

They've only been with us for a week but I can't imagine the house without them now.

Yeah, it's weird how fast you get used to pets and how empty the house feels without them. When I take my cat to my sister's during my trips, it's super weird to come back home and have no one greet you at the door wanting to be petted (my kitty always does that!).

Anyways, I wanted to wish you all the best for 2012 and happy new year's eve!

Thank you! They so fit their names, it's so funny! :)

You're so right about it being weird when pets aren't there and you're used to them being there. We had to move them to a different room for awhile, and even though they were still in the house, it was weird for them not being where they were supposed to.

Happy New Year to you too! I hope 2012 is a great year for you and you've been having a great holiday season! ♥
